Hays, Kansas: the oldest bar in Kansas - Hays House 1857 Restaurant & Tavern
Hays House 1857 Restaurant and Tavern was built by Seth Hays in 1857 and sits straight on the Santa Fe Trail, now Main Street, Council Grove. It is the oldest restaurant west of the Mississippi. It is now a National Register Historic Landmark.
This is in such a cute and quiet town. The food was fantastic.
